Vintage 1950s Quarter Peck Poplar and Steel Wire Bushel Baskets, Set of Two
$50.00
Poplar and steel wire bushel baskets, used traditionally for harvesting fruits and vegetables. These lightweight baskets are made from thin strips of poplar wood bent into the bucket shape and rims then fastened with steel staples, and finished with a hinged wire arch and turned wood handle. They're slightly different in size but measures about 12.5" with the handle, and is 11-12" in diameter. In spite of some slight damage, these baskets can be used in orchards to gather apples and stone fruit, harvesting root veggies and what ever else you grow but are also great lightweight storage bins, or cute country-style Easter baskets.
