Vintage 1950s Vernon Kilns "May Flower" Chop/Large Dinner Plates, Set of 4

Set of four large dinner plates known as "Chop Plates" as they were meant to accommodate large bone-in pieces of meat such as pork chops and T-bone steaks. the cream colored charger sized plates were made in Los Angeles by Vernon Kilns and are hand-painted under the glaze. Braided detail around the edges and deep set center help keep your food on your plate. Great for holiday dinners. Measure 12" in diameter and are surprisingly heavy, all are in great condition with no chips or cracks. .
